Dana Gropper

Dana Gropper is a lifelong New City resident, Clarkstown South High School graduate and seasoned educator. Currently, Dana is serving as a Technology Integration Specialist with Orange-Ulster BOCES and staff developer with Model Schools, supporting school districts in effectively integrating technology into instruction to enhance student achievement and align with New York State Learning Standards and Assessments. 

With a robust background in Special Education and Technology spanning over a decade,Dana is now aspiring to bring her expertise and passion for educational excellence to the Clarkstown Board of Trustees.

Her commitment to enhancing student success, fostering open communication, and advocating for necessary resources showcases her readiness to contribute significantly to the board.

  • Acting as a facilitator for Edu101 under an Orange-Ulster BOCES Learning Technology Grant in collaboration with Marist College since 2022.
  • eLearning Lead for OUBOCES: building and enhancing relationships between eLearning vendors and Orange County districts, building and enhancing skills for teachers using eLearning tools within the county, creating agreements, writing purchase orders, and billing. (2021-present)
  • Preparing to take on the role of Mock Trial Lead for OUBOCES/Orange County, undergoing training in the 2023-2024 school year.
  •  Special Education Teacher with the NYC Department of Education-Middle School Math, Technology and Social Studies (2013-2016)

  • Advocate for the provision of necessary resources for every student to thrive academically, while also ensuring that both students and educators have a platform to advocate for those resources essential to their success.

  • Develop strategies to allocate time for teachers and staff to participate in training and professional development opportunities aimed at improving student success and academic performance within our district.

  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and open-minded approach to addressing critical issues impacting the district, students, faculty, and staff.

  • To uphold fiscal responsibility while enhancing and optimizing the Clarkstown Central School District.
